What can you do when a client hasn’t paid in over a year?

This still happens in my business as sometime the deposit doesn't cover the whole bill. Ultimately I just write it off. The time, effort, and aggravation of attempting to collect isn't worth it. It simply becomes a case of throwing good money (time) after bad. Of course it depends on your business. If you get a lot of smaller unpaid bills it might pay to use a collection agency.

I agree, I often times just write off and move on, have no energy to collect it and deal with ungrateful people
