That's a tricky question. There is going to be many different answers. Seasonal clients: (holidays) September - December; (annual company/family picnics/party) Feb-September . Regular non-seasonal corporate clients, monthly. Every sales person must decide what works best for them. Respect the inbox. It is common for clients, and potential clients to become annoyed with too frequent emails. Maintaining brand image/presence is important, but it can also work against you. Those too frequent e-mailers get unsubscribed or deleted without a second look.
The universe as a great way of balancing the books. We may not get customers directly from those we serve; however our inbox is more lively when we share and give back to our community. We've herd is before, the more you give, the more you get in return.

Most chamber of commerce will let you attend 2-3 events at no cost. Contact the chamber(s) of interest and ask if you can attend a mixer or other events.

Cities, Towns, State & Federal agencies also host events. Many of these are free to the public. They also offers an additional benefit of you getting to know key individuals in your communities.
