About Us

Sanctuary's focus: women in the arts, women humanitarians and business leaders who make a difference in their communities, women's health & wellness, as well as a variety of articles concerning inspirational travel, career and finance. We are more than an international digital publication for women. Readers become an integral part of our community, sharing inspirational stories, photos and news about nonprofit events. Readers can also interact with experts in a variety of fields who answer questions on monthly topics. This welcomed engagement has produced a dedicated audience and above industry standards in many analytical categories, such as numbers of pages viewed per session, number of minutes spent during sessions, newsletter opens and reader retention. We also have a growing social media presence. Our features include women who are at the top of their fields, both nationally and internationally. We've also featured those who have made an extraordinary difference in their local or global communities. Come visit if you want to become part of the journey.

How We Got Started

After working for other publications and as a freelancer for almost 30 years, Myrna Haskell wanted to produce a publication which empowers and inspires women - something from the heart where she would be the visionary who drove the publication's content and voice. Since that time, Sanctuary has been growing, influencing and educating women throughout the U.S. and internationally.
