How We Got Started
In 2009, we started E. L. Broady Academy to help three students complete HS and enter St. Philips and San Antonio Colleges, because they were excluded for a local program since they only needed 4 credits to graduate. Since then, our main students are: HS students that need to finish early, or that dropped out in their 10th, 11th, or 12th grade year regardless of age.

I started my business after working as a principal and superintendent and seeing students "fall through the crack" because life got in the way. I also realized that the GED was not working on a large scale and though many adults understood that they had missed an opportunity to get their HS diploma; they were frustrated and stuck in a rut.
I decided to show them a way to complete their diploma from home and to give them another chance to jump start their lives because "It is Never Too Late to Elevate!"
When my first three adult H. S. graduates in August 2009, got enrolled at St. Philips..I knew my business would really benefit adults that needed a fresh start.

Solo Serve off I410 - This outlet store sustained me during my college days at St. Mary's. You could go there with $20.00 and purchase 7 items from the latest styles. Of course you had to open the package and check because these were factory over runs and "sometimes" the shirts had THREE sleeves instead of two! The Polo shirt emblem in some cases had the rider carrying a tennis racket instead of the mallet LOL, but the price was right. #SOLOSERVE!!

Hello Pam; in my experience in education, the schools themselves would be the ones to talk to; specifically the counselors.
Assuming your business is for profit, the schools in higher economic environments, typically will not offer government subsidized tutoring programs. The parents will be interested in the school recommending someone who can tutor their children and help the parents navigate entry into post secondary education.
