Joseph and Robert Saglimbeni’s father, Louis Saglimbeni, opened the family’s first wine store in Geneva, New York, two days after the repeal of Prohibition.

The two brothers literally grew up in the wine business and have worked with Italian wine since the days of straw-flasked Chianti and red-checkered tablecloth restaurants, where Valpolicella and Soave were featured on every wine list.

When Joe and Robert opened Saglimbeni Fine Wines in San Antonio in 1990, they created the first temperature-and-humidity-controlled outlet for fine wines in the area.

To this day, Saglimbeni Fine Wines is San Antonio’s premier destination for fine wines, spirits, beer, gourmet food, cigars, and wine accessories.
