Allen Jones Real Estate Intero San Mateo.
About Us
I market and sell Luxury High-End properties on the San Francisco Peninsula. I do much of my business in San Mateo county. I am a Realtor with Intero Real Estate Services in San Carlos.
How We Got Started
Real estate sales is a second career for me. I retired in 2007 from Nordstrom in men's clothing sales. After being retired for three years I was board and decided to put my real estate license to work. I started with Intero in San Mateo in 2010. It's been an interesting business and I love every minute of it. I have met so many great clients over the years. How can I help you with your real estate needs?

I have the usual concerns about the Covib-19 Virus as we get ready to reopen business. Controlling the number of people into an open house and hand washing and wearing a face mask. And finally disinfecting the premises when potential buyers leave. A big Undertaking for the real estate agent.

Kristy, I purchased my first home in 1980 in Redwood City for $25K. In today’s market it is worth $3.0m. A great investment, if only I still owned it. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Thank you for the question. Allen Jones

Several ways. Knocking on doors in your farm (if you have a farm). Getting out and talking to the home owners and asking questions. You can also call expired listings from the MLS and for sale by owner. These are a few ways to find a real listing. Sometimes you get lucky, most of the time you...

You can also call expired listings from the MLS and for sale by owner. These are a few ways to find a real listing. Sometimes you get lucky, most of the time you have to keep going back into your farm until the home owners get to know like and trust you. Don't give up, you can do this.
Yes, I use drones for larger properties. It's almost impossible to capture the feeling of a large estate with many trees and other amenities. The drone photographs show the tree tops and the entire house plus the blue sky. It's very dramatic and not that expensive. I highly recommend using drone...

The steps you need to take to get a property ready for market. I always order the inspections first. The potential buyer should know what the problems are before making an offer. Then take care of any update than need to be done( painting, updates to the kitchen and bathrooms, freshening up the landscaping. Curb appeal is key, if your house does not have curb appeal fewer potential buyers will not stop. The final step is staging the property. Most people can't imagine what the house would look like with their furniture. Staged properties sell much faster. The last step would be photography. I always use still shots for the MLS and flyers and a virtual tour. Set up a website for the property( www.1234mainst.com).At this point the property should be ready for broker tour and the first open house. Hopefully multiple offers will follow.
I'm getting most of my business from working my Geo. Farm and the internet. I also use a company that markets to zip codes in my Geo. Farm. I find knocking on door(the old fashion way) really works.
