About Us

In my career, I have traveled to over 60 countries, including working in the UK, Germany, Russia, and the Middle East. I speak French and German fluently. I consider myself a practitioner first and an educator second. I’ve written a NY Times notable book of the year, and have commented on TV re: national security for over twenty years.

How We Got Started

My business derives from what I love: international relations and travel. Since studying abroad as a student at Oxford, I believe passionately in how even a brief exposure to another culture can make a big difference in anyone’s life. This has lead to a career in foreign policy and national defense in DC (15 years), radio and TV commentary, award-winning books, teaching, and now coming back full circle to teach and promote studying international relations at Oxford.
