My path into marketing is genuinely unusual. I have a degree in Wildlife Biology and Zoology, and I spent over a decade in wildlife rehabilitation, science-based dog training, and pet care operations before I ever taught a marketing class. As Director of Operations at a Silicon Valley pet care facility, I inherited a Constant Contact account through an acquisition and learned email marketing on the job. The results were so immediate that I became obsessed.

I founded ZingPop Social Media in 2013 because I saw the same pattern across every industry: small business owners who were brilliant at their craft were being told they also had to be marketers, content creators, and SEO strategists. I help them stay focused on the thing they love by making the marketing side bearable, sometimes even delightful. The dog training pedagogy (meet the learner where they are, reward the try, and never punish the question) is exactly how I coach humans today.
