What I do offer is a free 1-hr consultation in which we review the clients' own ideas and plans, I show them examples of similar previous weddings in my (extensive collection of) photo books), and sometimes I have samples from colleagues to give away (e.g. a little goodie bag from one of my hair/makeup stylists).

I normally point out what my company offers that many others don't: level of experience, number of weddings already done, full insurance, business license, background in psychotherapy = great interpersonal skills, background in art history and interior design... and awards, publications and leading role in professional associations. If that doesn't convince them, we wouldn't have been a good fit anyways. I need client who respect my professional expertise and achievements as much as I respect theirs.
