About Us
A favorite neighborhood old fashioned Shoppe you have got to see! If you're a local, you're like family. If you are a vacationer or visitor one stop to mingle with the locals, you'll have made a friend. The COLDEST beer, liquors, a variety of fine wines and sundries too! Family owned and operated, and where friendly, knowledgeable help is ALWAYS available! Look for the old fashioned "Narragansett" beer sign and come, visit and "pick up your spirits"...see you there! I'm certain they were designed (1912) with the focus to be of service to consumers but repeatedly I learn there is more frustration than confidence about the agencies (all 112+ are independently incorporated and governed by their board of directors). Turns out those ratings are meaningless and the feedback and enforcement of nonreputable business practices are time consuming, labor intensive and unproductive. The BBB report $215+ million in revenue, and collect fees to get a business accredited, use their logo in advertising, are SELF-regulating, yet refrain from endorsing businesses, products or services. I think the consumers/businesses that use it don't really understand the workings of it. Similarly to the wine industry when a shopper seeks out buy an Italian Chianti Classico wine with the trademark black rooster seal only with the belief it denotes quality!?!? A trusted/knowledgeable referral is your best endorsement to most things in life/business!
