I have invested in a Matterport 3D camera for use with my real estate photography clients. The popular immersive 3D Tours created with this equipment make it possible for realtors to sell a property for a higher price and in a shorter period of time. The bonus with this technology is that during the Covid crisis, potential buyers don't even need to make an initial visit to a property in person. It's safer for everyone.

Although leads for new clients is always near the front of the list, I also learn a lot about marketing and how different businesses work from my networking connections. This often leads to my suggesting other resources that might be useful to these new connections which reinforces my status as...

Although leads for new clients is always near the front of the list, I also learn a lot about marketing and how different businesses work from my networking connections. This often leads to my suggesting other resources that might be useful to these new connections which reinforces my status as an expert in my particular field. As Carl Lucchi said, what goes around comes around. This approach builds stronger ties among my network.
Quality is always easier to sell and no matter what price I work out with a client, I always produce the best work I can. During a shoot, I never think about price.

If I need an intern, summer or otherwise, I contact the photo program at our local community college. Our high schools also have photo classes. Instructors there might have a good candidate.

I approach customers as future partners. I spend much of the first meeting listening and then suggest solutions to their visual problems. Our discussion is always based on how to help their business and everyone, I find, is more comfortable being a partner rather than a customer.

I have found that my business has had to continually evolve. Sometimes all the technology gets a bit overwhelming, but I felt that way with my first view camera. I'll get past this hill just as I have for four decades. It sounds like you may need to broaden the focus of your video projects....

I'll get past this hill just as I have for four decades. It sounds like you may need to broaden the focus of your video projects. Corporate training seems to be one of the biggest markets for video. A little dry but it should help pay the bills while you also shoot what interests you.
