About Us
Green Builder Products (GBP) is the West Coast distributor of Mini-Rebar which replaces 90% of your rod rebar. Proactive reinforcing holding concrete tighter for less cracking.
Don't waste money on lumber, use our forming system to make your footings. It installs 4 times faster at total cost of about $1.50 per foot .
GBP's concrete waterproofing & hardening spray runs about 20 cents per sft.
Our latex based insulating coating can drop temperatures in your attic 50 degrees.
The GBP team has developed fire resistant building systems that are cost competitive with those stick built structures like we just saw go up in flames.
How We Got Started
I have over 50 years construction experience and love good design, both times I've seen it.
My wife and I wanted GBP to carry recycled and recyclable energy efficient LEED point products to help protect the planet.
Our focus is to provide environmentally friendly building materials that save time, money and are low impact so all construction can be earth friendly. Ultimately we hope to make it cheaper and easier to build the housing we need nationwide.

Instead of using mathematical models like most economists, those that have done real world research on what is going on have found imperceptible disruption for businesses as well as the workers. I have not paid that little for years and expect barely noticing the changes as long as business owners don't increase their own pay to match the increase for their workers. More money in poor pockets means more spending which is a benefit.

Our bankers were pleasant and helpful but stated repeatedly that they had no idea what the rules were. Three banks we deal with had the same response. We support $15 phr, unionization of workers, and buying American when we can. We also support universal health care and taxation similar to those years when America was a leader in innovation, ingenuity, industrial and manufacturing prowess.

I rarely shop for anything except groceries. My wife and I are not consumers, we use things up until they are done. We keep cars 12 to 20 years typically. New clothes are very rare and usually we go to thrift stores, also for appliances. Furniture we keep for 20 years, rugs for 30+ years. ...

New clothes are very rare and usually we go to thrift stores, also for appliances. Furniture we keep for 20 years, rugs for 30+ years. When we do buy we buy quality that lasts. Even better than recycling is not throwing things out. Our Main Street is colorful with lots of botiquey types of stores due to being a college town with tourists and young folk. It also has a fair number of unhoused folks and due to the lack of adequate social services and paucity of mental health services and long wait lists for rehab facilities there are some folk out there that are problematic. Most the street folks are locals that just can't afford housing due to the NIMBY nature of Neighborhood Groups and lack of decent planning by the city and county.

We have a Homeless Women's Garden Project that sets up shop locally and also has a crafts program so there are lots of art works there too. A neighbor teenage woman bakes bread for her clothes money so we are planning on buying from her
