My favorite question that I'm asked all the time. JAG Products, Inc. started from a cattle drive in Montana. Two strangers who became business partners to bring a product idea to life.

Great question!   This is where going back to your vision and mission statement is helpful.  If you don’t have one.  Take the time to write it out.  If you have a team, bring the team in on the process.  What distinguishes most companies in the eyes of customers is “who are you & what do you... (more) Great question!   This is where going back to your vision and mission statement is helpful.  If you don’t have one.  Take the time to write it out.  If you have a team, bring the team in on the process.  What distinguishes most companies in the eyes of customers is “who are you & what do you stand for & how are you different.” Once you do that, the ability to state clearly and confidently what distinguishes your company from others becomes a much easier conversation.  Hope that helps.

These situations can and do happen.  If in-person discussions to address the concerns for the behavior have not helped, then walking away from a customer is necessary.  State your reasons professionally and clearly.  Listen to the customer if there is an unresolved issue.  So it can be addressed....
