This year has definitely been an anomaly in more ways than one and people have been challenged across the board. It's interesting to see a strong stock market, low-interest rates, and a hot real estate market all at once. Like many other states Scottsdale, Phoenix, and throughout the Valley is also experiencing very low inventory with anxious buyers and happy sellers getting multiple offers on their properties resulting in over asking prices. We are seeing this in all price ranges even in the higher end market million-plus properties. I would have to say that California is our biggest buyer, coming in and finding homes that are affordable compared to their market. Not to mention lower property taxes and lifestyle in general. Also, Seattle, Colorado, Chicago (lots of Chicago folks here), and Oregan for the most part. Another attraction in AZ is that we really do not have any natural disasters with the exception of the monsoon season that generally lasts a couple of weeks usually in the month of August. Buyers are moving further out as well since more are working from home and do not have to be concerned about commute time. Overall, real estate has been busy and I continue to work with my buyers and sellers to make sure their needs are met. If you have anyone moving out this way, please reach out to me and I would grateful for the referral.
