Carriage Barn Academy is a Reggio Emilia inspired and Montessori-based early childhood center for children ages 3-6 in the Historic Hill Section of Scranton, PA. Our school is located in a one-of-a-kind carriage barn that offers a dedicated Science Lab, STEAM Classroom, Reggio Emilia Atelier (Art Studio), and NEPA Nature Classroom. Outside areas will include a natural playground and gardening areas where children can plant and harvest. We also have a covered deck for outside discovery and play.

We offer half-day and full-day programs for children in Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten. Our mission is to excite and engage our students to love learning through hands-on discovery.

Our curriculum includes a comprehensive Language/Literacy program and all the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) areas. We incorporate Art and Music as much as possible as we plan integrated lessons to develop all areas of development. We also incorporate Mindfulness, Mental Health, and Positive Self-Image.
