About Us
Peculiar Slurp Shop is A Modern Ramen Joint. We serve hot and cold noodle dishes, small plates and bao buns. We also serve craft local beer, fruit infused sake, wine, seasonal cocktails, Japanese sodas and teas, along with cold brew with various flavors. You can also satisfy your sweet tooth with some of our housemade desserts. We are located in the newly renovated 300 block of Penn Ave in Scranton.
How We Got Started
Gene and Miranda Philbin, husband and wife team started Peculiar Culinary Company in August of 2012 with pop up restaurants that evolved into a busy catering company with a food truck. This started as a passion project that quickly evolved into so much more!
Peculiar Slurp opened in May 2018 and we look forward to serving you for years to come!
