About Us

I simplify the mortgage process for buyers, homeowners, and investors with clear communication and practical guidance. PRMI’s expanded loan menu lets me support more client scenarios — purchase, refi, renovation, fix & flip, and multi‑unit — making me a strong partner for your referrals.
Minnesota Department of Commerce, Minnesota Residential Mortgage Originator License MN-MO-20224578

How We Got Started

I entered the mortgage industry in 1998, back when lenders were experimenting with products like the 125% second mortgage — a program that let homeowners borrow above their home’s value. The industry has changed dramatically since then, and I’ve grown with it, working for a range of lenders including major institutions like Wells Fargo and Rocket Mortgage.

Over nearly three decades, I’ve learned that originators thrive when they’re aligned with a company that keeps its promises — meeting contract dates, communicating clearly, and closing on the client’s schedule, not the company’s. That commitment to reliability is exactly why I’m with PRMI today.

I think you are doing yourself a disservice as well as your client in not knowing where they stand. The worst scenario is putting the cart before the horse. Your client makes an offer, a legally binding contract and they have no idea how the process works or what they even qualify for. Now imagine that they have already mentally moved into the home. It is never pleasant to turn someone down once the process is in full swing. So for your sanity, team up with strong mortgage partner and assure your client they are working with the best team and in their best interest by pre-approving them.  You will sleep better, and you will have more referrals as a result!

As a lender, I think it is important to think outside of the box. An online walk through is a terrific way to expose the property to new would be buyers. Eight years ago I purchased my last home from a simple slide show. So if the presentation is strong, then the results will follow. The reason for making the change?  Most people promise you the sun, the moon, and the stars!  However until you are in the company you can't determine if this is true or not. Most of the time it's not. Very few deliver on their promises and for me, when I tell my agents and clients something my word is my bond. If the company I represent can't deliver because they don't have the same values it is time to move on! My best advice for your agents is to deliver on your word and do what your competition is not willing to do for them.

I serve them up, it's up to them to get the client to invest in themselves.  The other thing you can and should do is go to networking events if you aren't already. I have met many new partners at Network after work. It is once a month and very valuable.

In the past two years we tried unsuccessfully to sell our home. The first agent was great and is a good friend. In his case, the timing for us just wasn't right and after fielding no offers we pulled the listing. The second agents were a couple and very nice people. However, they did very little of what they claimed they would do.  My suggestion is to be up front, follow up and do what you say you are going to do. If you don't hold open houses tell the client and let them decide if this important or not. No matter what be the consummate professional.

I have also made the cold calls and while they aren't fun, my top relationship exists today as a result. Best of luck!
