Before one starts marketing, make sure your products or services are well thought through as it relates to the consumer.  Any accepted marketing campaign will ruin a business if step one is not done properly.  If one keeps up on the premise above, one’s marketing cost should become a smaller percentage of sales over time.  If your costs remain the same percentage or increase, you may need to retool your product or services.
