After leaving a veterinary technician job, yet still wanting to work with critters, and being a crafty/artsy person- boarding, grooming & pet preservations just seemed like a natural choice. I’d been grooming family/friends pets since my early teens anyways & have worked as some sort of pet professional basically all my working life. My family has always been deep into animal rescue, and have a devout love for all animals so I was raised with skunks, goats, raccoons, javelinas, a peregrine falcon, you name it we probably had one at some point. My grandmother helped bottle feed the zoo babies when it flooded way back when Sinton still had the zoo. So animals and their welfare run in my blood! Then when my heart cat passed, & I couldn’t bring myself to bury her, I started researching other ways to keep her, & it led to my passion for preservation of clients beloved furry (and sometimes not so furry) family members.
