With so many people sheltering in place during the COVID-19 viris they have more time to peruse the internet and do a lot of their shopping on line. There is not much overhead to speak of for home-based businesses as a person already is paying for a place to live.
I am a fine artist but I also purchase art from other artists. I appreciate being able to hang original art in my home. I feel it adds a wonderful dimension to my surroundings and it brings me joy. Life without art would be boring to me.

If I had more time in my business I would use it for more promotion projects. As an artist I spend a lot of time creating so I don't often feel like I've been able to promote my work as much as I should.

As an artist I had an easy way to get started. I applied to, and was accepted, an art show and was able to sell some of my work and meet potential clients. Getting your name out to the population that would most likely be interested in your product is essential in my opinion.
