We offer very limited snow removal services as it very chaotic every time it snows and everybody wants you at there property IMMEDIATLY! With that being said, we charge by sq footage and state in our contract that we automatically show up after 2" of snow fall for a set price. If we get more than 6+", we then move to an hourly rate of $65/man hr. This is rare for us as normally snow fall in our climate is very hit and miss and we have not had a substantial dump in 3+ years now. Snow removal can be very profitable but can also be a huge liability and stressor. If you decide to do it, you have to be fully committed and have your staff fully on board with your plans. I see a lot of companies in my local market that are getting out of the snow business and I can definitely say, it has crossed my mind a time or two but then again, the money can be great and especially for a time of year we are watching the bank accounts dwindle...
I think for us, it would hands down be employee training and development. We currently have an excellent on boarding program and also on going training but with that being said, it's all too easy to set these types of things on the "back burner" during our crazy busy times of the year. If we had...

If we had more free time, more advanced training and more one on one time would be something that would float to the top of the list. I feel very strongly that your your company is only as good as the employees that represent you and for us, that means everything.
