We do not charge a cancellation fee unless a customer has held a calendar spot that someone else could have taken. The cancellation fee is based on how long the calendar space is and what revenue loss is as well as whether or not we can immediately fill the space. If we can immediately fill it, I usually just refund all of the money. If it is during a slow time, and we have crew members unable to come to work because of it, a portion of the deposit does become non-refundable.
On the other hand, we have had to reschedule projects due to unforeseen circumstances, but have never been charged a fee for rescheduling. We try to be the general in all projects so if another vendor is affected, we are in control of the issue.
