No offense, but this thread is absolutely ridiculous, and leads to the question as to why this forum is helpful for a business owner.  There are no details as to what insurance policies were in place and claims were made, why claims were not covered based on the policies, and why, as business owners, each contractor hasn't covered their own equipment.  The notion of "double paying" doesn't make sense - each contractor owns what they own.  They have to insure the equipment they own.  It is a business, not a hobby and needs business insurance. The landlord is not responsible for your items.  Over 100 responses that are all conjecture does not make sense to me.  For anyone posting with requests for help or counsel, please provide enough details so professionals can provide it in a meaningful way.
