How We Got Started

JJT Beans is a small, family-owned company that was founded in Greeley, Colorado. The company specializes in producing and selling dehydrated instant refried beans. The idea for JJT Beans came from the founder's desire to provide a simple, tasty, and reasonably priced food option for families.

The founder, who has a background in agriculture, saw a gap in the market for a convenient and easy-to-prepare refried bean product. They set out to create a product that would be easy to make, healthy, and affordable. After years of research and development, JJT Beans was born.

The company began by selling its products at local farmers' markets and quickly gained a following. Customers loved the convenience and taste of the instant refried beans, and the company began to grow.

When people think of inflation it scares them. We all know wages do not match the inflation price. We also know that everything that has been done in our government in the past 2 years not helped any of that we started our company because we saw inflation getting worse. We are food manufacturer... (more) When people think of inflation it scares them. We all know wages do not match the inflation price. We also know that everything that has been done in our government in the past 2 years not helped any of that we started our company because we saw inflation getting worse. We are food manufacturer in the refried bean industry. Most people don't understand how healthy beans are and how cheap they can be grown and produced. So we made an amazing product to let people know that there is healthier alternatives out there which then saves money. Maybe not a lot but in today's society and people say every penny counts. I see it everyday. Funny thing is 60 days after we opened our business doors we got contacted by our food distributor and acquires Sr beans and they raised the price by 70 cents a pound. Now last time I checked their growth cycle doesn't take that long, also we have empty skyscrapers in our country and other countries are turning those into vertical farms. The food is the rising cost why don't we utilize the structures we have and instead of growing and square footage we grow in cubic footage. This is just food for thought.
