Security Connection originally operated as The Security & Communications Connection (est. 1999). I've been the owner/operator since the beginning. We incorporated in 2012 as Security Connection Inc.

How We Got Started

At 21 years of age, I graduated the Security & Alarm Systems Technician program at Algonquin College and started working as an installer. I soon realized my ambitions were being wasted and decided to venture out on my own.

I take great care and pride in not only the work our team does but even more so, building a trusting, long lasting relationship with our customers which is rarely found in our industry, And many industries for that matter. Being an owner who is involved in every project we take on allows me to ensure our customers are consistently well taken care of. I couldn't accomplish this as an employee of another company.

I would only extend by saying, if you really know very few people in your area, choose two or three contacts to spend more time building a relationship with moreso than others. Make sure that those three or so contacts are ones who you feel will be able to offer that one big job or opportunity that, once you ace it, will instantly boost your reputation amongst your top target market. Also, you may need to offer up something extra that others are not providing...more value for choosing your services. Maybe offer a free trial of your services. Anything to not only get your foot in the door but to display your skills and offerings without the potential client assuming much risk in exchange for trying you out. Best of luck!
