HerRose Co.
HerRose Co. draws its name and inspiration from my grandmother, Roberta Rosebud Brown. Her enduring belief in using one's gifts to support those who need it most has been the foundation of my identity, making HerRose Co. what it is today. My focus lies in providing creative consulting, strategic planning road maps, accessible resources and community for marginalized creatives, looking to take the next steps on their journey. Our strategy is simple. We look at success as what is defined by the person and the person only. From there we simply begin building, developing and creating with an understanding of who you are, who you want to be, who you want to impact and how you want to bring that to fruition, ensuring each and every decision is made from an aligned, intentional place. If you ask me, creatives make the world go round and there are so many people and communities that need to see, hear and feel what it is you bring into the world. My goal is to take all it is that makes you who you are and provide you with the necessary tools to help you become who it is you dream to be. Leaving the safety net behind, feet planted present in front of you, helping you discover what lies behind the doors of your comfort zones.
HerRose Co. began as a VA business for women and later expanded to support creative entrepreneurs. Initially, it made sense, as I was an aspiring writer and creative myself. Why not manage their emails while I built the courage to chase my own dreams? However, over time, I realized that despite my intentions, fear and comfort were preventing me from honoring my deeper purpose. I grapple with playing it safe as I grow alongside my business. As I peel away layers of scarcity and survival mode, I find that honoring my own dreams is the best way to support those I wish to impact. As a Gen Z, Black, queer, recovering people pleaser dreaming of a sweet life filled with love, happy kids, storytelling, and poetry, I initially felt lost and overwhelmed by my vision but waiting for the "right time" was wasting my life. My dream extends beyond writing; it’s about showing future writers, artists & dreamers, that they can become the person they needed. The dream started with community.
