I’m a home inspector and I almost always collect payment at the time of inspection. If I was to send out invoices to clients for payment I would offer a small discount if payed within 15-30 days and create a penalty if payment hasn’t been paid within 30 days... 60 days and so on.

My reports are usually between 50-100 pages and I’ve never had someone say it’s to lengthy.

The last guy who was crying about how poor he was and all he had was $150 for a home inspection I told him to find someone else. Although I will usually give a small discount if needed.
