I applied on day 1 of PPP through SUNTRUST, generic emails for weeks to see zero emails in the last few weeks. I tried to apply at 53rd but they had technical difficulties and it was going to be an apparent nightmare.
About 3 weeks ago after being so frustrated, the first round of money being depleted, I found out that I could apply to other banks.
I tried a few who were still just working with their current customers (US Bank).Â
I applied at a small town bank on the other side of town, the process has been so easy and the amount that has been approved was significantly higher than the amount noted in the SUNTRUST portal during application. YES APPROVED!Â
Had I not found out we could apply elsewhere - we would be sitting at the end of this possibly out of business with no PPP approval and funds!Â
Sad to see the business over 500 employees making application and hurting the real small business and these larger banks not taking care of their long term clients / small businesses. Â They are making so much money at the time they are hurting so many clients.
I will be making bank changes. We are valued and during tough times it has shown.Â
