How We Got Started
3rd Generation dealership that myself and my wife have been running for 30 years; my Grandfather Thomas C Rottet repaired Tommy Dorsey’s vehicle when they played at the Lakeside ballroom; they were so satisfied ( he was an excellent mechanic) that they asked him what they could do for him; he said “ get me the Lincoln Mercury franchise” and they did; we got Ford later in 1982

A lot of our business is repeat customers from being in business for 65 years. Tons of referrals. We also obtain leads though our website at Rottet motors Inc.com. We also get additional leads through Autotrader, Cars.com., Ford has an exclusive site just for dealers and we also use Kelly Blue Book. The most challenging would be our TV commercials and when I’m in them! Lol. I still do some newspaper as they are attached to digital site as well. Right now Ford wants us to spend 80% of our advertising on digital. We do get a lot of sales from a great distance because of people seeing a specific unit they are after, I know what to order and we trade many one owner units with low miles. We use our Facebook page as well but I guess I’m still old school and would rather do my deals face to face and seal the deal with a handshake.
