How We Got Started

CICOR Marketing was founded with a simple belief: great businesses deserve great marketing. What began as a passion for helping companies grow has evolved into a full service digital marketing agency serving clients across more than 50 industries.

From the start, our focus has been on building real partnerships, not just running campaigns. We saw that many businesses were overwhelmed by a constantly changing digital landscape and needed a trusted guide to help them navigate it. Like a skilled navigator helping a ship reach its destination, our role has always been to provide clear direction, strategic insight, and measurable results.

As digital marketing has evolved, so have we. From traditional SEO and website development to advanced AI driven strategies like Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), CICOR Marketing continues to embrace innovation while staying focused on what matters most: helping our clients grow, compete, and succeed.

(more) The first thing I like to do when speaking with a business owner is to educate them on what digital marketing is, how it affects their business, and to formulate a strategy for that particular business that coincides with their company goals. In the past 3-4 months especially, I have seen a huge surge in companies looking to have a digital marketing strategy developed so that they can sustain their businesses during this pandemic.  While many of the basic aspects of digital marketing are the same (website design, SEO, ads, etc), there are many components that needs to be specifically tailored to a company to best align with their business. For example, if the company is B2B there really is no need to be running any sort of Facebook Ad Campaign however the need to run ads on LinkedIn, Google Search, Bing Ads, or other type of ad networks may be needed.  What is the budget for running the ads also plays a major impact on the success of the campaign.  In some cases running ads across the typical ad networks is NOT the solution the company needs.  They may be better off with running industry specific campaigns to gain visibility against their competitors across the country (or world).  No matter what the ads need to point to landing pages that specifically are targeting the product or service. Another example, for the companies that offer B2C product and services the solution may be to really drive a strong online presence for their Local SEO if that is the better solution.  Using enhanced SEO methods and proper indexing of the website can often achieve the results the company needs to be successful. So long story short, the need for digital marketing for every business has and will continue to be an essential component for the company to achieve success.  What is the best solution depends on the company and how they look to achieve success.  Is it to drive more customers into their brick and mortar locations (like restaurants, C Stores, etc).  Is it to gain 20 new homes to clean or service (maid services, floor cleaning companies, etc).  Or is the solution to drive industry awareness for their products (CNC manufacturing, CBD Stores, etc).

(more) I have been building websites since 1992 and I still have my original HTML book to prove it. =)  I have developed on practically every platform out there over the years.  I have developed site on everything from ASP.NET to Java to Ruby to Wordpress. To answer your question specifically, I would tell you Wordpress.  What many of the people who opted to tell you HTML don't understand is how the CMS platform works perfectly fine and if it is maintained in a similar fashion as to how you should run your updates for your computer, then you won't have any security holes.   The first suggestion that I would make to you for having a Wordpress site would be to spend a few dollars (usually $60 or less) to get a Premium Wordpress theme that was professionally developed.  The Free Wordpress theme are people who are barely able to scratch together something and call it a theme.  Spending $60 is far more time efficient than manually coding even a basic HTML site that would not meet the requirements for responsive design in the first place. There are a variety of Plugins that you can install based upon what your site needs are and what you are trying to accomplish.  Some of the elaborate (pro) plugin items may need to purchased. Also for those that may not realize it, but you can use any piece of HTML code you want within a Wordpress site. Regardless of which route you take, be sure to know how good your hosting is going to be for your website.  You can have the greatest, most efficient, best optimized, etc site in the world, but if your hosting company is horrible there is nothing you can do about that. In the beginning a shared hosting environment will work just fine for you until you start to gain some traction with your website.  But be prepared to migrate out of the Shared Hosting server environment relatively quickly.
