In this day and age we can't practice without technology. For the last few years we have to file all pleadings, discovery requests, proposed Orders, etc. online. We have to schedule most of our hearings online. We research case law online, and lookup state statutes and local ordinances...

In this day and age we can't practice without technology. For the last few years we have to file all pleadings, discovery requests, proposed Orders, etc. online. We have to schedule most of our hearings online. We research case law online, and lookup state statutes and local ordinances online. And now, since the COVID-19 pandemic, we are holding hearings online, mostly through Zoom. Most Attorneys save all of their documents in the cloud. We even use cloud based software programs to assist in managing our practices. The big drawback is, when our online connection goes down we are temporarily out of business. But that is a small price to pay for all of the convenience of practicing online.
