(more) Great question! I think planning is another huge component that a lot of business owners may not be considering. Not only around which forgiveness route they want to take but also around tax and business planning. If congress doesn't pass legislation to allow for the deduction of the PPP related expenses how does that effect your return and which year is it better for the expenses to fall? How does that answer effect their eligibility for a possible NOL carry back that could mean cash in their pocket in the short term? Even if their PPP loan was for less than $2m, so you won't automatically be subject to SBA audit, they should be prepared for one. That starts with why they believe they needed the funds and how they made that decision. It continues with lots of documentation to support the claim for forgiveness and of course retention of those docs for 6 years. Finally, business planning so you're life's work remains viable and can even thrive into the future. A SWOT analysis of your business and the market is key to identifying and creating a plan with actions to take them successfully into the future. We've seen many businesses actually expand by changing their mindset and exploring where the new opportunities are hidden.

Staying relevant. Consumers see advertising throughout their entire day.  The most challenging part is creating something that they will talk about and hopefully stay in their subconscious a little while so they remember you down the road when they need your services. Depending on what you're talking about or promoting, videos should be no longer than a minute.  If you are doing webinars where people tune in, they should be kept under 30 minutes preferably closer to 20. Quick and simple videos are easy to follow along and keep the attention span of the individual watching.  We have thousands of marketing adds being shoved in our face daily, if they aren't quick people will loose their focus and won't retain anything the video subject was about.

Menu options and variety then price.  I also like to look at past events they've catered to see if they fall in line with the type of event I am hosting. There is no magic word or phrase that makes it happen. You need to know who your ideal client is and know your product or service. Listen to the potential customer and determine what they are looking for and how you might work together.  Once you discover if the relationship would work well with them, you will find that bringing them onboard and "closing" the deal will be easier. You can already picture how you will work together. Describe what that would be like and how you would help them with the services they are needing.

Again we establish this with our clients up front when we start working with them. This has worked extremely well so we do not have to chase AR. I hope this helps!
