JPdL was founded in Montreal in 1982 and has offices in Montreal, Quebec City, Tremblant, Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver and 75 employees. JPdL specializes in event management for the Corporate market.

Yes, our business was hit very hard. Incentive & Meeting planning and production which simply started to evaporate as of March 1st of this year. We have had to adapt. Weekly zoom meetings have taken place to discuss and create new streams of revenue. Virtual meetings have taken place in lieu of face to face meetings, virtual experiences and customized tours with small groups, masked and socially distanced. We are still looking for new innovative ideas and can't wait till all returns to normal, which might not be till September '21. We are very lucky that our Canadian government stood up to the plate in record time to help small businesses through these very tough times, with rent subsidies, wage subsidies and small business loans. We are also thinking of our suppliers and partners who are going through equally difficult times. Everyone, hang in there!
I would definitely continue to work from home if it was feasible, but I would go into the office maybe one day a week. Face to face with staff and management is also important and it would be essential to maintain that on a regular basis with a reliable platform such as ZOOM.

If it is very lucrative it is worth finding out as much as possible about your client and making the effort to find common ground. You might be able to turn them around!
