A great marketing plan identifies who your target customers are (demographics and psychographics) how you will reach them (strategic and tactical marketing) and how you will retain your customers (relationship marketing) so they repeatedly buy from you.  Add extra empathy (put yourself in your customers position, listen more, serve don’t sell) in your marketing plan in this time of COVID-19. Key areas to include in your marketing plan:1.Market Research  • Market dynamics, e.g. seasonal • Customers - demographics, market segment, target markets, psychographics- the fears, preference, attitudes and pain points of the customers  • Product - what's out there now, what's the competition offering • Current sales in the industry • Benchmarks in the industry • Suppliers - vendors that you will need to rely on 2. Product How does your product/service help the customer? How does your product relate to the market? What does your market need, what do they currently use?  3. Strategic Marketing - Develop your "unique selling proposition." What makes you stand apart from your competition? Are you reaching, engaging and educating your customer? 4. Tactical Marketing  • Networking - go where your market is • Direct marketing - sales letters, brochures, flyers • Advertising - print media, directories • Seminars / Training programs - to increase awareness • Write articles (blogs), give advice, become known as an expert • Direct/personal selling • Media: Publicity/press releases • Trade shows / events / conferences • Website / Social Media  5.  Pricing, Positioning and Branding Where and how your product will be positioned in the market to achieve product awareness. 6.  Budget What can you afford? What can you do yourself? What do you need to outsource?  7. Monitor Your Results. Test! Test! Test! Test, analyze and identify what is working. • Survey customers • Track sales, leads, visitors to your website • Weekly / Monthly new customers Review, modify and improve.

Develop a business culture of innovation, growth and appreciation. Your approach to innovation must allow employees to make mistakes with no punitive measures. Employees also want to be appreciated and that not always monetarily. (more) Develop a business culture of innovation, growth and appreciation. There are a number of factors why a prospect would enquire about the price point: I agree they don’t see the value. They just might not be your target market. There desire is beyond their present financial capability. (more) There are a number of factors why a prospect would enquire about the price point: I agree they don’t see the value.
