Unless you have a few hundred million to invest in prototyping and developing the products, it may not receive enough traction to make it worthwhile yet. Companies like Tesla will be the natural sources to get their energy from solar versus plugging in.

Sounds like you are selling hand crafted items for consumers. Without more background, I am going to presume you don't have a retail store and want to be able to sell from your home. You may not have the website and online payment process because of the costs or knowing where to start. It would certainly help you but it is not absolutely critical to have this. I believe you can use a service like Shopify which will package these for you. Or you can sell on Kijiji, Craigslist, Amazon, Ebay, Facebook without all of these things - they'll take care of it for you. Or if you want to auction items locally, our site TransitionSquad.com, also takes care of it for you. All of these options could help you get started and to a point where you can afford to develop your website and put in payment processing.
