What drives your decision in choosing service professionals? An internet site? Referral? Reviews?

Internet sites can be flooded with "fluff" and fake reviews. And, the reviews themselves could be fake or submitted by employees.
Referrals, in my opinion, are the best way to find the right person to do the job - regardless of what kind of job.
There was a survey done that said:
"92% of those surveyed preferred to have a referral for a product or service. 78% of them used the referral to fill the need they have."
I hear you already, "Where can I find a referral?"
If a trusted neighbor of friend doesn't know, most cities have formal organized referral groups, like Gold Star Clubs, BNI, etc., most of the time the members have been interviewed, references have been checked, and for the most part insurance/workers comp have been filed. (At Gold Star - for sure.)
Look them up and see if they 1) are near your area. 2) They are familiar with the work you need done or the product you're looking for to fill the need. When in doubt, call their references yourself and ask if they would be comfortable using them again. If no? Move on.
If you have a business and aren't in a referral group, Gold Star is always looking for great people to start one!
