I think the critical thing for me would be not who the staff is or what one's feelings may be about success, but to organize the plan to see if the business would be sustained over a period of 5-10 years and the strategy behind it. The key financial piece is forefront, can it be sustained...

The key financial piece is forefront, can it be sustained without major risk to oneself. This sometimes is very hard to see when we are very close to the subject and have our own agenda of wanting the success. We must have experts outside of our inner circle to give us the hard facts.

I suggest there may be something else at play, perhaps admitting your possible failings to her (if you have great), and then seeking the council of priests to help with this calamity too. Many times as scripture says "we fight not against flesh and blood but against principalities in high places", meaning we see with our eyes the natural world, but there is an equal opposing spirit world at play- mid life crisis? My favorite customer story has been working with the Disabled American Veterans, DAV over the years. Getting to know their intimate stories of struggle when they returned from the battlefield. Brave men and women, who sacrificed for their country to come back with missing limbs, PTSD and great hardships to return back into society. I will always hold their testimonies close to me, which helps to remind me of not only how precious life is, but also to respect and admire the men and women that serve in our military.

Also, I suggest seeking out your competition, finding out what they offer and how they retain their client base, this will take some intel. Key for you is to stay close to your area of expertise. That way the feedback will be relevant. Also, your field is highly competitive and needs validation from others in your field of influence and stakeholders that actually SAVED $$ with your guidance and skills. Finally, I'd suggest contacting CPA and asking if they will refer customers that may not be able to afford their level of service.
