How We Got Started

My first son graduated High School and could not find a job, I asked myself what can this kid do? The answer; he knew how to read and write but what was his unique skill?
At the same time, I was facing burnout as a bedside nurse, I decided I would put my unique skills to work and the rest is history.

After reopening on July 1st, we have had to implement new innovative ways to teach, instruct, and mentor new providers but we have prevailed and we continue to prevail. As School director and lead teacher, I feel that we have had the opportunity to serve and lend a hand in our own way. The profit margins were not what we expected; but the feeling of being a part of something bigger than our organization; the services we provide have the potential to touch people beyond our doors and bring sunshine to the lives of people who are sick or lonely.

Our students are adult learners with multiple responsibilities and limited resources, they rarely have the time or resources to join online classes. Yet we need them because they form the backbone of our healthcare system, they are the aides. I think a good administrator would ask for a budget for each classroom,  use one of the very long staff meetings to discuss what is approved from the itemized list of supplies. The rest can very well be donated by different community members of groups that may need the tax deduction.  (more) I think a good administrator would ask for a budget for each classroom,  use one of the very long staff meetings to discuss what is approved from the itemized list of supplies.
