Shelby County Commission in Alabama. Strong presence with BCBS of Alabama with influence over the County commissioners. Comptroller saw the value and helped me take it to the people (i.e. Managers and Supervisors). Went in with an HMO alternative and signed up 95% of the population. BCBS of Alabama pulled out and thus the first exclusive group HMO was sold in Alabama. My last act with Southeast Health plan before I moved back to Jax to work at BCBS of Florida.
