WEM Consulting Group was founded in 2005. Our mission is to solve housing and financial issues. These issues affect everyday people, every single day with no partialities. To date, we have built and/or managed over nine-hundred units of affordable housing in Mississippi, both single family and multi-family housing. The development arm of our activities has fulfilled housing needs across several counties in Mississippi. We would love to help your development dreams become reality.
The mission of the financial arm of our business is “To Set the Captives Free Through Financial Education, Counseling and Training on Essential and Major Purchases.” We believe that unprepared people are often the victims of retail and financial abuse. Therefore, our daily mission and goal is to prevent people from becoming entrapped in financial commitments and ‘set free’ those who have already become financially victimized.
Most recently we were selected to participate with the SBA Community Navigator Pilot Program. We are the “boots on the ground” that will connect small, minority, and disadvantaged businesses to critical resources and assistance:
• Financial Assistance and Access to Capital
• Contracting and Procurement
• Marketing, Operations, Business Development, and Exporting
• Industry-Specific Training
After years of designing, providing and advising individuals on housing, I simply responded to the community need for housing advice. I became certified as a AFC (Accredited Financial Counselor) in 2003 and quickly married the two professions. Now I am busy sharing almost forty (40) years of professional experience with as many individuals as possible.
