About Us
Puddle Poetry is a Community Capacity Building grassroots movement spearheaded by founders Sonya Littlejohn, Venta Rutkauskas and Dana Matthews in 2017. It is led by Sonya Littlejohn.
How We Got Started
We are roots oriented artists. We saw an opportunity for a rural community to decolonize and we took a poetic approach.
Now, Sonya is working with Vancouver Poetry House and other large Vancouver organizations and teams across turtle Island to bring awareness to decolonizing practices and leadership.
Sonya also leads Essentials for Leading the Self (ESS415) at Simon Fraser Continuing Studies for the Leadership Essentials Certificate.
