What kind of interview questions do you ask applicants?

When interviewing applicants I always gear my questions towards the type of position I'm needing to fill. Such as; if I am filling a position in the manufacturing field, my questions are more along the line of, "Do you work best in a group or by yourself?" and "Why do you feel this works best for... (more) When interviewing applicants I always gear my questions towards the type of position I'm needing to fill. Such as; if I am filling a position in the manufacturing field, my questions are more along the line of, "Do you work best in a group or by yourself?" and "Why do you feel this works best for you?" If I am interviewing for a professional position; such as, Human Resources Director, I try to find why they feel like they are the best fit for the job and why they chose that career. I direct my questions more into finding out what their interest are, how they obtained their skill they have now; what keeps them involved in their active role etc. I interview for a lot of different positions within the surrounding areas as I own a Staffing Agency.  I hope this helps!  Brooke Burnham CEO; Burnham Staffing LLC
