From April through May and October through December. During the holidays, I will increase discounts if the client agrees to allow me to complete a partial portion of the order before Christmas and complete the remaining portion of their order until January/February. This causes me to be plenty busy through March.

Great idea. How do you reach new customers with this offer?

During the holidays, on most projects that I do, clients will want the entire order ready before Christmas. I tell them that due to so many other orders that I have to complete, I can't get it done. An option for a client is to look elsewhere to have their transfer done. I use the higher discount that I mention above as an incentive to keep them with me. So to answer your question, I don't normally promote or advertise this incentive. I use it on a case by case basis, so to speak. But the benefit to me is that I can keep more customers and have plenty of projects to complete after the New Year.
