We have a 3 foot rule as well, if anyone is within 3 feet of me, im letting them know what i do and what we offer. I ask them to let everyone THEY know, that we exist and we will help them as best we could. We also called companies to let them know that we are here and ready to help them save money. social media is big as well. staying relevant on facebook and instagram is key. giveaways help, that brings in the winners to the store and from there they get hooked. but with our giveaways, everyone is a winner. if they didnt get the grand prize, we still call each person and let them know they've won a 20% off coupon! trade shows help a LOT in the beginning! anytime you can put your face in a crowd of potential new customers, do it! we also hosted boutiques in the beginning. that brings other vendors and THEIR customers into your store. good luck!

Its a good idea to purchase your company vehicles. they are a huge tax write off. no, you wont get any money back from it, but you will get a deduction off any money you will owe in taxes. it helps tremendously if there was a vehicle purchased during the year! We have had to learn what type of packages are best sent with which carriers. we havent had any problems with attitudes or anything like that. ours is handling of boxes, since 90 percent of what we have is glass. another thing we pay attention to is late deliveries that get lost or dont arrive when tracking says is should... those are the things that affect our business. but we simply call the manufacture and they gladly use a different carrier if we ask them to. Good luck!
