But mostly because we are active in our communities and have a great team of employees to help our clients.

(more) Here's an article I wrote on Winter Storms in 2017.  The information still holds true today for Winter Storms and Hurricanes.  The only exception for Hurricanes might be to be sure to evacuate if FEMA advises this.  I hope this might be helpful- Storm Preparedness: It’s the “NEW NORMAL”      December 2017          Cathy Bender, CIC As we adjust to our "new normal" of preparing for yet another storm, our first concern needs to be for the safety of ourselves and loved ones. The severity of recent storms as educated us that being prepared now means more than stocking up on bread and toilet paper. Here’s a checklist for your use: Check your supply of batteries, Gas up your vehicle Stock up on ready-made foods and water in case of a power outage Fill your bath tub with water for baths Pack an emergency bag in case you need to leave home Follow your local authority’s directions and recommendations. All these things may sound a little over the top, but they are the reality of what we could face. And, unfortunately, what many others have already faced in 2017 and now in 2018. Please keep these phone numbers in your phone, Red Cross 1-800-733-2727 and FEMA 1-800-621-FEMA. Be safe and communicate with loved ones and friends to be sure that they are safe too. Go to the link below for guide on this and more. This is on “How to Prepare for a Winter Storm.” Feel free to share! https://www.fema.gov/media-library-data/1494008...
