Since I primarily target online sales I stay active on Instagram and Facebook. When posting on Instagram/FB it is vital you use hashtags that will attract the audience you're seeking to market to. Ie. I specialize in diamonds and vintage ideal cuts so using hashtags like #diamond #diamonds #vintage #blingbling #sparkle etc. will draw the audience I'm seeking and help build the channel and sales. Also giveaways make great promos. People like "free" stuff and I'm guilty of not doing this enough actually. Follow me on augustvintage if you like the sparklies. ;) :P
My family business (Good Old Gold Inc.) uses The Edge software which is tailored towards the jewelry industry and is a great program for a retail store. Since going Internet only with August Vintage Inc. I find a well structed Excel sheet does the job for me just fine. :)
