Washington on the Brazos State Park Association supports the educational programming, marketing, and maintenance of Washington on the Brazos State Historic Site, the place where the Texas Declaration of Independence was signed in 1836.

The park association was formed in 1957 and has helped with park improvements such as the installation of the Star of the Republic Museum, Barrington Living History Farm, and the Visitor's Center. We host annual events at the site including Texas Independence Day Celebration, Juneteenth Heritage Celebration and Christmas on the Brazos.
