Photography has been a part of my life since my dad bought me my first SLR when I graduated 8th grade - the Pentax LX. He knew I loved taking pictures before then, and I was both deeply excited and appreciative that he bought me a camera. I still own that camera today.

Fast forward to September 2011... I lost my job and was unemployed for about a year. I used this as an opportunity to get back into photography full-time. I had bought a Nikon D60 in 2008, and decided to upgrade to a D90. I've been taking classes at The Photo Classroom, and still do whenever I can.

I believe everything in life happens for a reason. One door closed on me, but this door opened up. I am truly happy that this opportunity presented itself. I love taking pictures of just about everything. To quote an article I read, "There are a lot of factors that go into taking a great picture. You need a good subject, background, lighting, equipment, and the right angle. Of course, probably the most important thing to have is a good eye for photography." Do you use customer testimonials to help sell your product or service?

I don't use it to help with sales.  In fact, none of my clients ever even bothered to read the testimonials I put up on my site... that is, until my last potential client.  She wanted to call some of them.  So I put her in touch with some of them. What's your favorite type of camera to shoot with?

I'm not rich, so I can only afford the D610. With that said, the type of camera is a personal preference. A good photographer will understand good composition and lighting. He/she will know basic photography 101, like ISO and aperture. Knowing the fundamentals of photographer, you can use any... (more) I'm not rich, so I can only afford the D610. Knowing the fundamentals of photographer, you can use any decent camera and create a great picture. The camera is just the tool that shows off your knowledge as a photographer.
