Bullsh*t!  I’m an introvert who’s done great at outside sales. The trick is to master MARKETING and The Law of Reciprocity so that leads are pushed to you rather than you try to PULL them in. You’ve got to give content, advice, knowledge etc., before you get leads.  Create a website and an AdWords campaign. Do direct mail, create flyers with your USP and pass them out at networking events. Use props. The truth is you’re great one on one, you just need to get customers ONE ON ONE!  

Another distinction that helped me was to see myself as an educator, not a salesman. My goal then was to educate the client rather than SELL them. If your product or service is truly superior and you are s good enough teacher, the sake will take care of itself.
