I am a second-generation Accountant, and I learned the basics of bookkeeping when I was 16 years old. To help my dad, he got me an after-school job with one of his clients posting the money coming in and going out. A year later the business was forced to close because of the owner's health. That left me hearing that I was over-qualified to ask if you wanted fries with that when I went to apply for the same jobs as my friends. So, I ended up going to summer school at the local community college instead.

Ultimately, I decided that I liked doing bookkeeping and preparing taxes, but not doing it for someone else. So, in June of 2012, my husband (who was also in the accounting field) and I decided to start our own business. And the rest, as they say, is history!
